Rocking Chair Redo!!

A custom order to paint this chair for a classroom.  She wants it to read to her students.  Of course gotta do the mascot theme and school colors for her room.  Blue/white and Longhorms.

The before....

I've never had to actually refinish a chair.  The vaneer (don't even know how to spell it)  on the seat was buckling up and the paint was all chipping away.  Sanded it all over and ripping the top layer off the seat part.  Haven't gotten it all off yet...still working on it.  Hopefully when I prime it, it will seal it and no more buckling seat/wood.  Can't wait to start working my magic!

Finished project!!

Little girl's Chair

Got ahold of 4 small chairs.  Created this one for any little girl out there to enjoy.  I love the roses cascading from the top and the added touch of a dragonfly on the backside.

Rooster Stool

Haven't been on here in a while.  Been busy checking out all the beautiful home decor/re-purposing pages on Facebook.  Did spend some time painting last week.  Created this beautiful rooster stool, that already sold out of my booth space.

My Booth Space

Keep painting and adding furniture, etc. to my booth space at Full Circle Antiques in Beeville, TX

Refinished with old bench with Duck Egg the Olde White Chalk Paint.

This is a kitchen cabinet panel that I antiqued and painted a design on.  Hoping to get some custom orders from this.  Any theme is possible..frilly or not.

Picked up some old ceiling tiles of various sized when I went to Canton, TX.  Sanded it to get off loose paint, then distressed with Chalk Paint.  Also hoping to get some custom orders from this as well.  I do have it for sale in my booth space.

Found this great top molding at Canton as well.  Sanded it down a little and put a price tag on it for my booth space.

Antique chair Make Over!

My next project is for a dear friend who wants an old antique chair all dolled up!  As I cleaned up the chair, sanded it down and started to prime it...I kept getting the feeling that it was a pretty old chair and I shouldn't paint over it.  The seat part is rather thick and you can see the saw marks..I primed on.

Before.....

You will have to wait for the After....still a work in progress....

Canton Treasures

Totally enjoyed a trip to Canton with a wonderful friend.  Was away from home for 5 beautiful days.  We stayed at my husband's relatives and I got to see several of them.  In fact, 7 of the girls joined us for Saturday shopping.  Thank goodness I took my Cargo trailer.  It was filled with lots of treasures along with the back of my truck.  Have lots of ideas and plans to paint, paint, paint.  Hope I will make the time to get them done.

My biggest bargain as a vanity, bench, dresser and bed frame for $150.  Yes, for the whole set.  Can't wait to get my paintbrush on this find..
I purchased 2 more vanities, another dresser, 4 stools, 4 end tables, 6 child's step stools, a dry sink, headboard and footboard to make me a beautiful bench, wooden ladder, coal bucket, watering can, 2 washboards (planning to use as legs to a table), child's rocking chair, doll high chai, gourds and 3 cute small tables.

This should keep me busy for a long while!!!!
Look for before and after pictgures to follow!!!

Custom Order Rabbit Stool

Painted another stool today.  This one was a custom order for a little girl who is going to show her rabbits in a county fair.  Needs the stool to make her taller in the show ring.  Rabbits will be on a table taller than she is.  hahaha

Plus a few extra projects I want to paint.

Just a kid's chair that I will paint pretty.
The high chair I am working on.

Painted Stool

Purchased a wooden stool at Hobby Lobby.  Primed the other day and painted on it today.  Used acrylic paint.

Well, postged this stool on Facebook for $45.00 and within an hour it was sold.  Hubby says I don't charge enough.  I know I don't, I can see the prices on the web.  Maybe later I will charge more.
